Engagement

Riverside Engagement // Carolyn + Kevin

Feels good to be back online and posting new(ish) content, I have 5 new posts coming your way very soon so stay tuned!

Today, let's start with this super cute engagement taken on the campus of UC Riverside. Carolyn and Kevin met each other while attending college here and have been together ever since, how rad is that? Although we were battling some rain that day these two were troopers, luckily it cleared up for us towards the end. I have to say it was pretty cool seeing where it all started, from the table they use to study together at in the library to just cruising around campus with them. I absolutely love their love for each other, the way they make each other smile and laugh, just awesome!

I seriously can't wait for their wedding come this December in Redlands. For now here are a few shots from their engagement. Enjoy!

La Jolla Engagement // Ashley + Austin

I love when I get to venture out of Orange County to do a photo shoot, not that I don't like OC, but it's great to go somewhere new and different. I think it's one of the perks of this profession. Another perk I believe, is when I get hang out with cool couples during their engagement session, laughing and adventuring is always a must, it's one of the best parts of the whole wedding experience, in my opinion.

Well....Ashley and Austin definitely nailed both perks with the locations and just being a rad and fun couple. Our time together flew by and I couldn't be more excited to document their wedding later this year at Ponte Winery in Temecula. We started off in Pacific Beach and worked our way to La Jolla for a beach sunset. These two are nothing short of amazing together, such great dynamic and love for each other, so perfect! Honestly everything just worked out for the best and man did we get some killer images. Below are some images we created together. Hope you enjoy!

Orange County Engagement // Megan + Justin

So what happens when you combine a rad couple, a classic old school muscle car and perfect SoCal weather? One kick ass engagement session thats what! Last weekend I had a blast getting to know Megan and Justin during our engagement session in Fullerton/Brea, I love being able to bond and learn about both of them prior to the wedding. Yeah I know most people think engagement photos are about getting their "save the date" photo, but reality is that's when we really get to know each other so come wedding day we can all relax and enjoy the day without having any of those "awkward" moments.

Anyways....the short time we spent together last weekend was awesome, it really felt like I have known them for a long time and we were just out having fun taking pictures. BTW these two were such naturals in front of the camera, they made my job ridiculously easy. I seriously can't wait to document their wedding day come this September!

For now here are few images from their session, I wish I could share more, but I think these will work, I hope you all enjoy! Oh and for all you motor heads out there his ride is a 1969 Chevy Camaro, I freaking love that paint job too!

Laguna Beach Engagement // Katie + Joe

I'm so excited to finally share this engagement session taken a couple of weeks ago in Laguna. It's of an old friend of mine from the Triathlon team and her fiancé. Katie and I have known each other since probably my 3rd year on the team, that's when she joined, I think lol....Anyways I was thrilled when I got a Facebook message from her a couple months back, she loved the images she saw of Kathleen and Matt's engagement HERE (they are on the team as well and really good friends with each other). So one thing led to another and now I'm honored to be photographing their wedding in June!

It was great to catch up with Katie during our session, it's been years, but it was also great to spend time hanging out with the both of them. Joe is on the triathlon team as well, he's a cool cat for sure! I'm really stoked for the both of them, they are so great with each other. Actually in fact, to get my ass back into gear I plan to start riding with them during the week, I can't wait.

Ok enough talk, here are some of the images taken for our engagement session, I hope you enjoy!

Orange County Engagement // Mandy + Michael

With the way our weather here in SoCal has been going (warm, clear skies, very little rain) who would of thought there would be a random marine layer roll in right in the middle of the day in Laguna? Well, it happened to us during our engagement session last month right when we were about to start shooting at 2pm, BUT it didn't phase Mandy and Michael, in fact we embraced it and I think we got some pretty rad shots despite the fog.

I had such a great time hanging out with these two, we started at the beach and ended at O'Neill Park. During that time it was good to laugh, learn and grow to love them as friends and as a couple. This year once again I'm blessed to have such great clients and these two definitely continue the trend, thank you to the both of you! I'm looking forward to documenting your day in August!
